AGL - Academy of Global Logistics
长滩港 Academy of Global Logistics at Cabrillo High School (AGL), a partnership with the 长滩 Unified School 区, combines academic curriculum with industry-relevant training and information to support academic and career development.
Port of 长滩 Academy of Global Logistics at Cabrillo (AGL) focuses on careers in 全球物流 and supply chain management; 全球物流 is defined as the design and management of a system that directs and controls the flows of materials into, 通过, and across national borders. AGL works in direct partnership with the Port of 长滩, Center for International Trade and Transportation, LBCC, 和CSULB. Through partnerships with local colleges and 行业合作伙伴, 学生 will be exposed to the various pathways leading from Cabrillo to the world of finance, 全球物流, and supply chain management.

The purpose of the mentoring program is to connect 学生 with a business professional 通过out the school year. Students learn how to get into the industry and what challenges they can overcome. Students get to share who they are and what their own goals and dreams are. We can see the impact this mentoring program have had with both the 学生 and professionals.

The Port’s Celebrating 贸易中的女性 Luncheon brings local high school 学生 together with women professionals from the trade and logistics industry. Young women in AGL get the chance to interact with professionals during lunch and then listen to a panel discussion.
